The SherpaSchool.ORG is a dream in the making that was conceptualized by Phill Michael and Ang Dawa Sherpa...while sipping wine on the roof of the Mosler Lofts in Seattle, WA, USA...August 2008. On occasion, good ideas spring forth from the denouement of the Secret Spot Seven Summits Expeditions.

Our initial goal is to provide an exceptional educational environment for the children of remote Gorakhani, Nepal.

This is the village of Dawa's birth.

A short pan of the kids at the SherpaSchool.ORG on April 27th, 2009

In the Spring of 2009, Phill Michael and Ang Dawa Sherpa were in Gorakhani...laying the foundations for some green structures that will serve as a centre of learning to this Sherpa community. The school will eventually expose its students to a conventional education...as well as the latest in expedition, solar and communications technology. Students will be able to connect with the rest of the denizens of our Big Blue Marble, in real time, via BGAN satellite technology.

We expect to be able to complete construction of our buildings by 2011...and truly have a positive impact on an extremely rural and isolated community.

Phill Michael will be beaming progress reports from the field and posting them at the Secret Spot Seven Summits blog (www.phillmichael.com) and in the dispatch frames of the web of SecretSpot.NET websites.

We suggest you subscribe to the blog today and virtually join us in building a future without boundaries!

If you have the desire to directly impact and/or support the SherpaSchool.ORG, kindly email us at info@sherpaschool.ORG to learn how you can get involved!

We invite you! =^)
